What is the hardest part of being an up and coming / unsigned artist? 

 

Getting my music played in clubs and still being able to be a quote on quote "conscious artist" now a days people want to label you and put you into a category. I'm a balanced artist, lyrically and sonically, one song I might sing my ass off and the next song I want to talk about guns and drugs. 

 

 

You've been on the grind so far, how do you feel with the feedback your EP " Free Agent " is getting?

 

The feed back "m getting from the Free Agent EP is amazing I feel like people are finally starting to understand Yomi sonically. 

 

I know this is cliche', but how did you get into rapping and how long have you been doing it? 

 

I'm a student of the game. I've always been deeply in tuned with music like its more then just listening to the beat and the rapper to me. I was interested in everything down to the drums to the dubbs. One day, another fellow artist in my group realized I had a thing for making beats with my mouth like beat boxing and he told me I should start rapping. I started freestyling and I got very competitive till it became my thing. 

 

 

What is your main goal in 2015?

 

My main goal in 2015 is to fulfill what I told people I was going too, and thats to be on top of the rap game and have thousands of people repeat my lyrics. Try and change people's mentality on music/life in general.  

 

 

When its all said and done what legacy would you like to leave behind? 

 

Yomi was one of the greatest hip hop artist that ever did it. 

 

 

Who is the best producer you have worked with so far?  

 

Damn thats hard every producer I work with has been great. 

 

 

Any future projects in the works right now?

 

Yes a whole lot. You will find out soon.

It's a dope website with easy access that I think everyone will be using very soon.
