June 15, 2105 during his preformance in the Bay Area, rapper Lil Wayne announced that he would be signing with Jay Z. Wayne is already the co owner of the new streaming service "Tidal" owned by Jay Z. What does this mean for 2015? Our experts take a closer look at this suprising change of events and what this means for music in 2015 and the relationship Wayne has with labelmate Drake.
What does it mean when two of hip hop's most influential and succesful moguls team up? Business moves. Big Business Moves. What does it mean when Drake turns down Tidal's offer and signs with Apple Music even though his mentor (Lil Wayne) is the co owner of Tidal? Could there be some beef in the future between Lil Wayne and Drake over the two parting ways as far as streaming services?

Tensions were already stirred in 2014 when Jay Z appearently dropped a diss track aimed at Drizzy, after Drake was quoted saying Jay Z was "gettiing kind of corny" and "should stop rapping about art". Jay Z proceded to throw what many took as shots at Drake with some bars from the remix to " We Made It " he did featuring Roc Nation Emcee, Jay Electronica. In the song Jay Z raps " Sorry Mrs Drizzy for so much art talk, silly me rapping about Sh--t that I really bought", an obvious shot at the rapper who has been called femenine by many other artist before. However, Drake never addressed the lyrics. Could these lyrics be the spark of a silent beef that has now even reached Wayne as well? I mean if Drake and Wayne are so close there is no way Drizzy liked him signing with Jay Z and that could be a main reason Drake decided to sign exclusively with Apple Music for $19 million. 2015 continues to be shocking and full excitement in the world of music and business. Stay tuned.
